Investigation on the performance evaluation of gas-fired
May 28, 2020 · This study presents a performance evaluation method of gas-fired heating and hot water combi-boilers. Seven factors related to the operation performance are selected. Twenty combi-boilers of different brands and heat input are selected randomly and tested according to GB25034-2010. The factor analysis and cluster analysis method are selected to evaluate the performance of combi-boilers.
Energy-exergy analysis and energy efficiency improvement
Meryem and Kemal performed energy and exergy analyses for natural gas fired boilers in a district heating system and found the ratio of flue gas energy and exergy losses in the boilers to be 16.81% and 6.14%, respectively. Additionally, the energy and exergy efficiencies of the boilers were estimated to be 82% and 32.78%, respectively.
Energy efficiency improvement in oil refineries through
Flare gas recovery is one of the most attractive methods to improve energy efficiency in oil refineries to decrease greenhouse gas emissions. The recovered gas is used to feed refinery processes, granting advantages in terms of fuel economy and flare stress.
It is calculated by dividing the boiler output (in BTUs) by the boiler input (in BTUs) and multiplying by 100. The actual input and output of the boiler are determined though instrumentation and the data is used in calculations that result in the fuel-to-steam efficiency.
For existing boilers, their operational efficiency will often be much lower than 80% due to pre - and post-purge during cycling and the high mass of older boilers. In 2001, the Consortium for Energy Efficiency produced a market analysis of condensing boilers iii that notes that condensing boilers achieve the high efficiencies discussed above
ITP Petroleum Refining: Energy Efficiency Roadmap for
Energy Efficiency Roadmap for Petroleum Refineries in California iii Executive Summary Introduction Petroleum refineries are the largest users of natural gas and electricity in the State of California. In addition to a high level of energy consumption, the industry is a major contributor to the productivity and
used in the refining and conversion processes. Specific energy savings for the energy efficiency measure are provided, based on case studies of plants and references to technical literature. If available, typical payback periods are also listed. The Guide draws upon the experiences with energy efficiency measures of petroleum refineries worldwide.
The consumption of energy within EU refineries plays a crucial role in determining refinery operating costs and emissions and has therefore long been a focus of attention by refinery operators.
Final Report: Energy Efficiency and Feasibility Study and
This project’s feasibility study and resulting plan is intended to act as a guide to the Community’s first step towards planned energy management within its buildings/facilities. It aims to reduce energy consumption by 30% or greater within the subject facilities with an emphasis on energy conservation and efficiency.

ENERGY STAR Most Efficient 2020 — Boilers | Products
The Peerless® PUREFIRE® Series gas-fired condensing boiler from PB Heat, LLC is a high-efficiency 95% AFUE boiler for residential applications and is available for either natural or LP gas systems. The direct vent, sealed combustion boiler features a fully modulating, stainless steel burner and is environmentally friendly with LoNox operation.
Energy Efficiency in the Chemical and Refining Industries
In 1997, a review of the Deer Park cost structure identified energy use as a major opportunity. Recognizing that improved energy efficiency would simultaneously lower energy costs, reduce emissions, and support the company's emerging sustainable development initiative, the company created a formal Energy Management Program.
Boiler Efficiency: Which Boilers Are Most Energy Efficient
But once you know which type and size you need you can use the boilers' energy efficiency ratings to refine your choice of boiler and pick the most efficient one. ErP energy rating. All modern boilers are rated for efficiency under the new European energy label introduced in September 2015.
